Accessibility statement

Last updated October 9, 2026

We sell accessibility reports, so our own site should meet the bar we hold yours to. Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA across bearscan.app.

What we do

  • Scan bearscan.app with our own scanner, with the same rules your report uses.
  • Check new pages with a keyboard alone. Every page has a skip link and visible focus.
  • Hold every colour pair to a measured contrast ratio. Our colour tokens are generated, and the build fails if text drops below 4.5:1.
  • Turn off animation for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.

Known gaps

We haven’t yet had a full audit by assistive-technology users. Until we have, assume there are problems we haven’t found, and please tell us about them.

Report a problem

Email hello@bearscan.app. Tell us the page and what got in the way. We’ll reply within two business days, and if you can’t complete something because of it, we’ll help you complete it another way.

BearScan reports what an automated scan found and what it couldn’t check. It isn’t legal advice and doesn’t certify compliance.

Questions? Ask us.

  • Is the scan really free?

Yes. 10 pages with no account and no card, and up to 100 pages of one site with a free account. You see every problem and where it is. The full report, with each fix and a PDF, is $49.

  • Does BearScan change my website?

No. It opens your pages in a browser the way a visitor would and reports what it finds. Nothing is installed on your site, and it never places an order, signs up or sends your contact forms.

  • Will this make my site ADA compliant?

No tool can promise that, and one that does is misleading you. The scan finds the problems demand letters point to and tells you how to fix them; the report also says what it couldn't check, so you know what still needs a person.

  • What's in the paid report?

For every issue: the page, the exact element, why it fails, how to fix it and a prompt you can hand to a developer or an AI coding tool, plus a PDF. Rescans are free for 48 hours so you can check your fixes.

Something else? A person reads every message and replies by email.
